Devco designed and constructed, and operates through this affiliated company, a sulfur pelletizing facility with a capacity of 1,000 metric tons per day. Byproduct sulfur from San Francisco Bay area refineries is processed at the facility, which is complete with product and stacking conveyors to stockpile up to 50,000 metric tons of sulfur. Pelletized sulfur is loaded aboard ships by conveyors at the Port of Stockton, California for export. All air emissions points are connected to a scrubbing system for zero emissions and all process and groundwater is recycled, meeting California’s strict environmental requirements.
