Devco was awarded this contract by Saudi Aramco following a competitive international tender. Devco's contract covers the supply of two 85 tonne per hour wet prill sulfur forming units plus equipment to update Saudi Aramco's four existing units. Total sulfur forming capacity after completion will be 10,500 tonnes per day. The contract was awarded in March 2001 and shipment to Saudi Arabia was completed 1Q02.

Devco was awarded this contract in competitive bidding to design, procure and construct three sulfur pelletizing units. The design included a completely automated operating system and a complete water recovery, neutralization and recycling program to conserve water consumption.

Equipment: Two sulfur pelletizers, stacking conveyor, storage area, truck loading system; storage, shiploader and berth at Port of Jubail

Capacity: 5,000 tonnes per day

In Service: 1984

Following an explosion at Aramco's existing sulfur forming plant at Berri, Devco moved the two units from Shedgum and erected them at Berri. Total time from authorization to commissioning was 43 days. Devco also remelted, purified, and pelletized 60,000 tonnes of basepad sulfur material.

Capacity: 3,000 tonnes per day

In Service: 1980

Devco designed, constructed and operated this sulfur forming facility adjacent to an Aramco gas processing plant. The pelletized sulfur was trucked to the Port of Jubail where Devco operated a 14,000 tonnes per day shiploading facility. Devco marketed the sulfur worldwide - over 2.3 million tonnes in 3 years. Devco also supplied and operated facilities to reclaim, remelt, purify, and pelletize 800,000 tonnes of blocked sulfur.
